The nightlife, full of untapped potential and the future of many businesses. The nightlife space has mostly been left to a select industries, however, with the spread of 24-hour economies, more entrepreneurs are beginning to look at going into this space.

Bryan Michael Nolan is a serial entrepreneur, business owner and investor. He owns Royale Society Nightlife and All Access Chicago. Bryan has worked in the nightlife space, as a promotional and marketing specialist for over a decade. He books and runs shows and celebrities while running artist management.

Given his extensive experience in this space, Michael is offering up pro-tips for entrepreneurs who are looking into joining and thriving in the nightlife space:

• Hard work and perseverance need to follow you into the nightlife space

Things don’t come easier after dark and Michael emphasizes the importance of entrepreneurs understanding this. If anything, you need to work harder to make it in the night space when not as many people are up to see and appreciate your efforts. The nightlife space favors those who are ready to get their grit on.

• Risks are inevitable

Part of being an entrepreneur is accepting that you need to take risks. However, it is crucial to also recognize risks worth taking and the nightlife space is a risk in itself, which is well worth taking. It is a world of untapped potential waiting for you just after the risks you need to get through. Michael says that it is part of the job and risk-taking builds an entrepreneur up.

• Prepare for the unexpected

The nightlife space is a fast-paced scene that moves even faster than the day scene. As such, every business person needs to have contingencies set up for different eventualities that are likely to take place in your line of work. Depending on the industry you’re in, it will do you good to prepare for situations before they happen. Prepare to make sacrifices for the sake of your business

• Trust yourself

Every entrepreneur needs to believe in their work and efforts. You need to believe that the space you’ve chosen for your business is right. Being in this scene means that you trust your instincts and show your confidence in your business. It is easy for entrepreneurs to give up the nightlife space due to challenges but success belongs to those who believe in their genius.

• Visualize your goals

Like with any other business, it all starts with a plan, where you are, where you’re going and how you’ll get there. Without a clear goal in mind, it is easy to be swayed or get lost in the masses. Michael, in his years of experience has found that having goals and celebrating milestones keeps your motivation running high.

The nightlife scene isn’t that much different from regular daytime hours for entrepreneurs since the grit is the same. However, it is also uniquely different and presents many opportunities for growth for those who are keen enough to identify them.
