When Sara Cheek, a well-known OnlyFans star and model, speaks on being a wife and mother, her take may be wildly different than most people would expect. After all, this wife and mother also brings in $30,000 a month on OnlyFans and has over 13,000 followers on Instagram. Sara Cheek is not your average mother.
No “Stepford Wife”, Sara has run into some pushback from the more “traditional” parents in their town, leading to a major dust-up with coaches on their kids’ sports teams. But, Sara has remained steadfast in her approach to how her family is structured and is reaping the benefits of being an engaging online model with a litany of rabid fans.
A New Way to Be a Wife
“Society rejects the appearance of a strong, bold, independent woman in the form of a mother or wife,” says Sara, “The narrative ingrained into the majority of women at a very young age is, go to school and find a husband who will make good money to provide a nice life for you.”
When a series of unfortunate events happened shortly after Sara and her husband Matt relocated to the Tampa, Florida area, including an injury for Matt and a reduction in pay, Sara stepped up to become her family’s breadwinner. She had already amassed a solid social media following, and once she decided to move her modeling to OnlyFans, the sky was the limit on income potential.
“The word “provider” is not a male-dominant word,” Sara insists, “I think with the pandemic, there has been a shift in what we know to be the norm, and that is stay-at-home mom. We are seeing mothers take on roles as providers now. I think it’s wonderful because men should have more of an active role at home.”
Sara stresses that even with her unconventional career, she and her husband have a strong, loving bond that they work very hard to maintain. She emphasizes that clear expectations, honesty, and challenging one another keeps their marriage fair and solid. She also believes in keeping it sexy and fun.
The New Way to Mother
When other mothers on Sara’s kids’ sports teams found out what she did for a living, it made her life incredibly difficult. The lack of understanding about what an OnlyFans model was and discriminatory behavior that resulted has greatly affected not only Sara but her entire family, so much so that they’re looking to leave their small Tampa suburb in search of a more accepting community soon.
Sara maintains that there is more than one way to be a great mother.
“So many people believe that when you become a mom, you are to change or lose yourself,” she says.
By embracing her body and sexuality, Sara always ran the risk of alienating those who held more “traditional” views of motherhood. But, to Sara, sex appeal doesn’t end when you have children.
“So much of what makes me a good mom is that I have never lost who I am, and my kids love that.”
The lessons Sara hopes her children learn from watching her build her business and embrace who she is outside of being a wife and mother are tenacity and the ability to apply themselves against adversity.
“My kids have watched me struggle, overcome situations, be successful, and go after my dreams,” she explains, “They go with me to work out with my trainer and see that you have to work for it. Being honest and exposing your children to life only prepares them for it. And it helps them understand why it is important to make certain choices.”
Sara hopes to encourage women to get mad at the unrealistic expectations they are held to when they become mothers, keeping in mind the rights women fought for over generations.
Unconventional With High Expectations
Even though Sara and her husband have built a somewhat unconventional home life for their children, they maintain high expectations for their kids. They insist on their children addressing adults as “Mr. and Mrs.”, saying “ma’am and sir,” and working hard whether around the house, at school, or in their after-school activities.
“My kids are growing up in a loving, supportive home,” Sara explains, “If we are doing something, we are doing it to be the best out there. I apply that to every aspect of my life.”
Changing Definitions
The picture people get in their heads when someone says “wife and mother” may not include naked portraits or sexy OnlyFans postings, but Sara hopes to change perceptions of wife and mother.
“I think people reject what they can’t understand. My sexy pictures, revealing clothing, desire to have sex with my husband, my OnlyFans page doesn’t have a connection to define who I am as a mom,” she says.
Sara’s career has given her the flexibility to attend all of her children’s events, the income to live a comfortable lifestyle, and the self-satisfaction of hard work paying off.
Sara Cheek has taken social media by storm, landing in the top 0% of OnlyFans creators, she has over 100K followers on Twitter and over 300K followers on TikTok.
